So much of wearing make up is knowing how well the make up will mesh with your environment. Different types of make up will look differently based on several factors, such as your skin type, the climate and even what light the make up will be viewed in. This is true of all different types of make up, including pressed powder foundation. With make ups and foundations especially, it’s important to get the right type of foundation for your skin type as well as find the right shade. The worse thing to do with a foundation is to apply it without blending it well and creating what is essentially a obvious cosmetic mask. Foundations at their very best are incredibly subtle.

BEST MAKEUP BRUSH

So selecting a powder foundation that will look like your natural skin tone is important. The brush you use is also very important. It’s important to get a brush that is full, fluffy and well crafted. You’re defeating yourself if you buy expensive powder foundation and then use a brush that’s constantly leaving hair in your make up. If you don’t care for brushes you can also use a makeup sponge for application.
FOUNDATION STICK
First, swipe the brush down across the powder. Now, it’s important to tap off excess powder. You don’t want to apply too much foundation because you’re looking for a natural look and don’t want to seem like your face is caked on. Then, it’s a good idea to begin applying the powder foundation from the forehead down. Be mindful of different areas of the face like beneath the nose or under the eyes that may have different levels of oiliness or color. Both of these should factor to how to apply and blend your make up.  It can take some practice with a new make up but after a while it’ll become second nature.
